The Jade Rabbit

As a new bar on the first floor this bar had to stand out from the crowd. The impressive 6-meter-high bar shelving was to be the main feature and to draw the eye away from all the other visual distractions. The bar is surrounded by a bespoke wall which hugs the bar with warm ambient light whilst the dazzling bespoke rods above create a sparkle to draw the clientele in.

To provide a feature that can be seen from all areas of the gaming floor yet provide an method of illumination that feels intimate when within the bar. With the main feature being the bar (and the liquor) the back wall was back lit with high powered LEDs at 4000kelvins to create a dramatic contrast to the surrounding lighting and brass finishes.

The 1500 individually suspended glass rods create a play of light  by using varying degrees of narrow beam shards of light grazing across the faceted glass rods, with each fitting on an individual timer to softly sparkle through the rod formation.

With the warmer lighting being at seating level and the light getting cooler towards the ceiling this achieves the effect of making this bar stand out from the large existing amber pendants surrounding the bar.
