The redevelopment’s main objective was to better accommodate the evolving educational needs of its students.

The lighting intent emphasises the architectural features and creates a unique experience throughout the building, playing with colour, temperature and light effects. The design provides functional illumination with careful attention to glare control and visual comfort.

Breakout and informal learning areas are intentionally lit in a warmer colour temperature to introduce a softer, more comfortable atmosphere, drawing on a subtle residential quality that supports wellbeing and a sense of ease within the learning environment.

The new buildings enhance the standard of facilities, ensuring the school continues to respond to the evolving needs of the community and contemporary educational demands.

The design adopts a contemporary architectural expression which complements and responds directly to the adjacent site and heritage-listed Mandeville Hall, with a material palette of textured concrete, grey cementitious cladding and metal screening.
