Summit of Manhattan Sculpture
Glowing Structures were appointed to produce a concept and video for the New York Summit of Manhattan sculpture, created by artist Todd Stuart. The video illustrates two conceptual ideas for consideration.
Concept 1
The sculpture is washed with light from different angles creating kinetic ripples & dynamic shadows on the wall. The shadows cast on the wall add visual interest without detracting from the sculpture itself. The pool is softly lit to highlight the floating effect of the statue.
Concept 2
Fibreoptic lighting is used to give the illusion of a wave or moving stream relating to the sculpture shape. The lighting is reflected on the sculpture, creating a shimmering look of infinite stars that bring the sculpture to life.
