In what was formally a basement car park two storeys underground – this space has been transformed into a light, bright, clean and completely unexpected space. Glowing Structures worked closely with the Interior Designers to implement “cracks of light” to dramatically increase the sense of daylight.

The brief was to create biophilic oasis in the centre of the city. Glowing Structures used light to provoke an unexpected sense of daylight in a space two storeys underground, along with a moving “water wall” created with dynamic theatrical lighting which also added to the sense of bringing the outside in. The lighting through the planting creates an array of leaf patterns scattered throughout the space and adds to the interplay of light and shadow. Airy biophilic curves and natural materials transport users to an internal oasis with suspended furniture placed within greenery below new skylights. A bespoke soundscape resonates whilst scent is injected into the space and changes throughout the day. This contextual relief invites users to ‘Discover a new you’, the essence of wellness.
