Surrey 112 is the transformation of a Victorian terrace in Darlinghurst into a contemporary residence and studio by Smart Design Studio.

The lighting design responds to the home’s sculptural geometry, layered materiality and relationship between light and shadow. Discreet and concealed lighting is integrated throughout, revealing curved forms, textured surfaces and architectural details while allowing the architecture to remain the focus.

Warm, controlled illumination creates contrast and intimacy, resulting in a restrained lighting scheme that enhances the materiality and atmosphere of the home.
